Where has this book been all my teaching life? 
Thank you, Ruth Culham! Recognizing the dearth of materials for the upper grades, she's actually done something about it. The scored student papers are already proving invaluable, and the cd that's included is full of more papers, and scoring guides (yes!) that are easy for printing or just viewing. I've waited years for a book like this, and all I can say is it has surpassed my expectations. A must-have for all middle-school teachers!

All of it is written in Ruth's warm, witty style, which makes this book fun to use.
With this one book, Ruth is saving me hours of time--time I previously spent typing sample papers, time creating lessons and warm-ups, time reformatting lessons for my Smart Board.
