One of the Best 
There is a bounty of great information in She Comes First. The author's defense and explanation of the clitoris is a must read for any man truly interested in his partner's pleasure, although why we are still defending the clitoris is beyond me. There is no such thing as an orgasm that is not clitoral. If that makes your guy insecure, then you need to look for someone else. The clitoris, we learn, is the only organ of ANY species devoted totally to pleasure. It is very important for a woman's orgasm. It is not merely the "tip" what we usually call the clitoris, but is composed of 18 parts that merge and spread through the entire genital area. The illustrations, though simple, are some of the best I've ever seen. I particularly like the come hither illustration - for the first time, I can see how everything fits together and works perfectly.
This book is not for those who want to prove nothing more than how great they are in bed. I can't wait for my husband to finish. As I sit here watching him read by the pool, I can see that his is enjoying what he is reading. I am reading The Sensuous Couple's (Flip Over) Guide to Seismic Oral Sex. Judging by his face, we may not get much further with our reading assignments today and we will have to go indoors to practice before too much longer. Great books! Love how they have enriched our sex life.

outstanding-As opposed to those of us males who stumbled through puberty in the fifties, still burdened by an overwhelming puritan ethic that prevented even the most basic understanding of anatomy, let alone any information about physiology or even rudimentery ideas about how it all worked, the current generation will be well served by a reflective reading of this book. Men will benefit by finally having their penis's put in their proper place-no not there-I mean religated to the proper role as a contributor, rather than the end all of a woman's sexual response and pleasure. Once understood men can regain their rightful position in the sex chain, but only if they bury their egos and their misunderstanding of how women are best satisfied. Knowledge is still power, but ignore what is required at the risk of being kicked to the curb by knowledgeable women who understand how this all works. Whim wham, thank you mame' isn't going to cut it. But when women are approached correctly based on THEIR needs, men will suddenly find that sex is actually more delightful then they could have ever imagined! Ignorance 
I read a lot of books about sex, and was looking forward to this one. However, never before has a book so infuriated me. The reason being that the author is deeply ignorant about sex, and any one who reads this and believes the statements made will be worse off as a result. I can't help but be angered by some one who's written a book that will negatively affect people's sex lives. The author states early on that he was always bad at sex, and oral sex was the one thing he was good at, so he used it to compensate for his lack of skill in all other aspects of sex. He assumes that because he wasn't good at any other aspect of sex, that the different things you can do simply aren't good, not that they weren't good because he didn't know what he was doing. The book is him taking that bias and trying to push it off on the rest of the world. He proclaims that oral sex is the best type of pleasure for a woman, and that all other types are inferior. He even goes so far as to state that there are not multiple types of orgasms, that every thing we think of as "different types" are really just inferior versions of clitoral orgasms. Not only does this book go against current scientific understanding of human sexuality, it goes against common sense. He repeatedly quotes the work of Kinsey, which while important as an early foundation for the study of human sexuality, is very outdated and no longer relevant. He also repeatedly states that current experts in the field (like Beverly Whipple) are wrong in their research, purely because their research doesn't support his claims that oral sex is the only aspect of sex that matters and is worth doing. This work is the authors attempt to promote his ignorant beliefs onto the rest of the world, and he should be made an academic outcast for it. For your own sake, I cannot urge you enough to not read this book. Ignorance can be created with information just the same as wisdom, and reading this will make you more ignorant about the subject of sex. Sex is a wonderfully interesting, deep, and diverse subject, worth investing time into learning about. But if it were up to this author, all you would do for the rest of your life is have oral sex, and not enjoy any of the many other ways there are to pleasure one another. The author's bio says he is a sex therapist; I feel deeply sorry for his patients.
Good information but.... 
The information in this book concerning the female anatomy, the way a woman climaxes, etc Is very well presented and explained.
Also, the information dispelling rumors and myths about cunnilingus is also well done.
However, the section on techniques is a bit over done for my taste. It would be all too easy for someone performing cunnilingus after reading this book to focus too hard on remembering the techniques and thereby not paying attention to her body language and responses.
I would have preferred it if he had given just a few basic techniques and put more emphasis on how to get your partner to give you feedback and how to better pay attention to her physical responses and act accordingly.
